About a month ago, Joy was suffering from chronic insomnia.

At one point, she endured six straight nights without sleep.

Tim and Joy chronicled this experience in the song

"A Charles Dickens Night",

a metaphor on the struggles of the mind.

The song was written on the Harpejji

and was recorded as a single take

without overdubs or other instruments.
